The owners wanted a retro-ranch style five bedroom, three and a half bath, two car garage house with energy-saving systems. The house was to have a central living area with a high ceiling for the living room and kitchen. The house incorporated solar water heating, solar ventilation, standing seam metal roof, impact Low E glass, duel flush toilets and water conservation devices.
